Eating at The Triton
Our menu has been purposefully designed to offer you an excellent choice of great food cooked to a high standard, whilst keeping everything nice and simple with no surprises.
You won't find any "Tarte aux pommes avec creme anglais" at the Triton.
If it's apple pie and custard, we say it's apple pie and custard.
Our lunchtime menu offers traditional sandwiches and snacks along with more substantial meals; whilst our evening menu offers a choice of over 10 main courses including our traditional Steak and Ale Pie. Plus a selection of tempting homemade puddings and starters.
We are renowned for our Sunday lunches and regularly serve over 200 guests, so booking is essential.
We take Sunday bookings in sittings every hour between 12pm - 4pm.
Our set menu is priced at £18.95 for your main course
and £7.50 if you would like to add a starter or pudding respectively.
Private Functions
The Triton Inn is happy to host your event and would love to offer you the use of our parlour for larger parties - comfortably seating up to twenty people. To mark your truly special event we offer a special white linen service for an additional £3.00 per person.
Bookings
We really do prefer to talk to our customers so please make all bookings and enquiries by phone.
Children
Children are welcome until 8pm.
Please note that we do not have a separate kids menu but we will happily arrange for a smaller portion from the main menu for them.
Disabled Access
Our restaurant and bar area is wheelchair friendly we regret that due to the age of the building and the winding staircase that our accommodation is not suitable for disabled persons.
Dogs
As much as we love them, for the comfort, health and safety of our customers we ask that you do not bring dogs into the main dining area. Dogs are welcome in the bar area.
Smoking
Smoking (including e-cigs) is strictly forbidden throughout the premises.
